Maura Higgins' mother will give young Irish people “blunt” life advice in a new RTE show.
The Longford woman will follow in her daughter’s footsteps and become an agony aunt in a new show called Agony OAPs.
Despite not wanting to be in the spotlight, Sharon has said she is excited to step out of her comfort zone.
She said: “I'm straight up and down the middle. Maybe sometimes I can be brutally honest, probably a Sagittarius thing, I don't know.
“Myself and Maura are two peas in a pod. We actually get on so well, we get on like a house on fire.
"We think alike, we're straight up and down the middle, we just say it as it is. Maura understands me, I understand Maura.”
The show is set to see young Irish people tweet or email their issues to the show and in return will receive wise advice from well known faces.
Former Minister Mary O’Rourke, GAA legend Pat Spillane will also be on a panel to dish out their advice but Sharon believes her life experience will guide the youth of today.
She told Jennifer Zamparelli on 2FM: “I have seen it all.
"When you've had life experience and we've been through the mill different ways, so we have a panel that have been through all sorts."
