Smitten Strictly star Giovanni Pernice revealed he is missing his new girlfriend Maura Higgins whilst she is at home in Ireland.
After weeks of speculation, the Longford born Love Island star went public with her blossoming romance with the professional dancer last month.
But just hours later, the 30-year-old star travelled home to Ireland from the UK to spend the month filming her new RTE series, Glow Up Ireland.
In a sultry snap of the pair cuddling in a swimming pool, Italian hunk Giovanni admitted to his 474,000 Instagram fans that he is: “Missing my baby girl”.
“Not long now baby,” replied Maura, who has also admitted that she has been missing her new boyfriend, who is currently on tour in the UK.
The sweet photo was liked over 60,000 times, with many of Maura’s showbiz pals delighted the Irish bombshell has found love.
The public declaration on social media came as Maura revealed ‘exhaustion’ from her long filming days is taking its toll on her.
Sharing a close up image of her face, she said: “The exhaustion is now taking to my skin…. BUT on a positive note… hard work always pays off.”
Meanwhile, posting behind the scenes images on set, she showcased her bold new look for the latest episode, which features a full fringe and said: “Episode three and we’re back with a bang.. literally.”
Earlier in the shoot, Maura revealed she had been putting in 14 hour days on the series, but said the hard work was worth it.
Maura’s new TV project with RTE will see ten of the country’s best amateur MUAs challenged in a range of assignments where they will show off their technical know-how, skill, artistry and imagination.
