Maura Higgins was spotted being on the verge of tears during an emotional phone call after her shock split from Curtis Pritchard .
The Dancing On Ice star, 29, announced the pair's breakup on her Instagram story on Monday, putting an end to their eight-month relationship that blossomed in the Love Island villa last summer.
With a massive hood over her head, Maura tried to hide her visibly upset expression.
But despite her best efforts, the Irish beauty's sadness was easy to see as she hopped into a waiting car.
Holding up her phone to her ear, Maura seemed to react negatively to something that was said to her on the line.

And Maura yesterday looked downcast when she broke her cover for the first time since the split.
The Love Island finalists called it time on their relationship, months after the ballroom dancer admitted there were "cracks" in their relationship and confessed they struggled to make time for each other with their busy work commitments.

It has since been claimed that the strong-willed personality confronted her then-boyfriend over claims he cheated on her with Amber Pierson, 20, who is a performer on his brother AJ Pritchard's tour.
Curtis has denied the claims.
Now Maura, 29, has been spied for the first time since the exes went public with their decision to split.

Further strain was put on the relationship as Maura was committed to her Dancing On Ice training and Curtis was on tour.
Confiding in her 2.8million fans over the weekend, Maura revealed she and Curtis had decided to go their separate ways just six months after Love Island ended last year.

She wrote on her Instagram stories: "Curtis and I have made the decision to separate.
"We enjoyed a great experience from our time in the villa and want to thank everyone for supporting our relationship.
"There is no easy way to get through a break-up and no bad feeling on either side. We tried to make it work but it wasn't to be and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future."
