Maura Higgins is said to be 'fuming' with Curtis Pritchard after he made a series of public digs about her.
The former Love Island star compared his ex to a used car and suggested that she cheated on him during their seven month romance.
The couple split last year with their break-up becoming the butt of a number of jokes by Curtis in his new Channel 4 show Stand Up and Deliver.
Curtis, 25, commented on a number of female Love Island cast-members, saying getting to know them was like taking a car for a test drive, "If you don't like it, you send it back."
He went on to say that he enjoys the taste of a smooth whisky because you can 'trust the flavour will never cheat on you.. unlike my ex-girlriend."
A source close to Maura, 30, said she was 'fuming' by the jibes.
They told new magazine that she doesn't understand why Curtis would say such mean after she thought they were on good terms.
"She doesn't get why he felt the need to reignite any feud," they said.
"She thought it was all in the past."
Maura and Curtis coupled up on Love Island 2019 and made it all the way to the final, losing out to Amber Gill and Greg Davies.
However, just seven months after leaving the villa the pair went their separate ways - blaming their conflicting work schedules.
At the time rumours circulated that Maura had gotten close to her Dancing On Ice partner Alex Demetriou, which Curtis said at the time was 'not nice to read about.'
Alex split with his wife shortly after but the professional skater and Maura always denied they had been any more than just friends.
A year after the heartbreak, Maura delighted fans by revealing she'd found love with another Love Island 2019 star.
She went public with her romance with Chris Taylor on Instagram, with the couple confirming their feelings for each other by sharing a snap of them snogging in Dubai.
While followers of the reality couple were thrilled their friendship had blossomed into romance, Curtis said he felt 'hurt' and 'betrayed' by them.
Ignoring the criticism from her ex, Maura is going full steam ahead with her plans with new beau Chris and said she wants to be married before she gets pregnant.
"Chris better hurry up and give me that engagement ring because I'm not getting any younger."
