Maura Higgins is said to be livid over the fact that ex-boyfriend Curtis Pritchard has dashed off for a mini break with dancer Amber Pierson.
The 29-year-old Irish beauty is said to be annoyed she ignored her own intuition when her romance with 24-year-old Curtis came apart at the seams back in March.
Dance star Amber was caught in the speculation over the end of the romance – while Maura also drew attention after allegedly growing close to her Dancing On Ice co-star Alexander Demetriou.
But now it appears there may have potentially been an element of truth to the rumours Curtis had grown close to Amber after he denied dating her earlier this year as he this month enjoyed a trip to Cornwall with Amber, his brother AJ, and AJ’s girlfriend Abbie Quinnen.
A source close to Maura whispered to The Sun on Sunday: “Maura had her suspicions about Curtis and Amber when they split and now he’s started a relationship with her.
“Earlier this year he denied there was anything between them, but now Amber’s even met his parents. She knows to always trust her instincts.
“He’s told mates it’s early days between him and Amber and insists there was no overlap in his relationships.”
Maura and Curtis originally fell for each other after starring on Love Island together in the summer of 2019.
For months, Maura has been batting away accusations that she had ditched Curtis for a new romance.
She has rejected rumours she began a romance with ice skating pro Alexander – who split from his own wife earlier this year after being paired with the Love Island star on the winter sports competition.
And she has denied she has coupled up with fellow Islander Chris Taylor – who she has been spotted with on numerous occasions since lockdown measures began to ease in the UK last month.
Meanwhile, Curtis and Amber set tongues wagging last weekend when they were spied enjoying beach walks and country jaunts in Devon with AJ and Abbie.
The group fanned speculation as they shared various social media updates from their daily adventures, however the suggestion of a romance between Curtis and Amber was shot down at the time as a source insisted they were "Just friends".
