Maura Higgins and Giovanni Pernice fuel dating rumours as they head to Wembley

Many people packed into Wembley Stadium over the weekend to see Italy and Austria take on one another in the Euros.

But it was two particular audience members - Maura Higgins and Giovanni Pernice - who caught the attention of eagle-eyed fans as they spotted their strikingly matching photos posted on social media.

The Love Island star and the Strictly Come Dancing professional were said to have checked into the same Cornish hotel a few weeks ago, and they've fuelled rumours again after being spotted with the same view at the north London stadium.

The pictures set tongues wagging on social media.

Maura posted a snap of the football match, where she panned around the stadium.

And Giovanni also posted a similar snap from the same location.

Maura recently split from Love Island alum Chris Taylor and she admitted at the time that it "broke her heart" to reveal the news.

"It breaks my heart to even type this, but I wanted to let everyone know that myself and Chris have made the joint decision to end our relationship," she wrote in an Instagram story.

"There is no wrongdoing on either side… we still love, care and respect each other deeply. From the minute we met each other we've been very close friends and that will never change.

"There is no regret. Life is about taking chances. We wanted to make this work but we have realised we work better being friends."

He wrote on Twitter : "@ImAshleyRoberts and I have made the decision to separate as a couple.

"We remain friends and wish each other well for the future."
