Maura Derrane is making the most of her time off from the Today Show by flying home to spend a few days on the Aran Islands.
The RTE presenter took to Instagram to share a clip of her Aer Arann flight landing on her native Inis Mor, RSVP Live reports.
"No regular plane journey," she captioned the video. "Coming in to land #inismor with @aerarann_islands #island#islandlife #aerarann."
She's clearly taken her five-year-old son Cal along for the trip, as his delighted laughter can be heard in the background.
Maura and Cal recently got back from a holiday to one of her favourite destinations, Sardinia, where they soaked up plenty of sun and ate their body weight in gelato.
Maura joked that her little boy had become an "expert" in the Italian treat and shared a pic of him tucking into a chocolate and vanilla cone.
The 48-year-old mum stunned in a tropical print swimsuit and sunnies as she posed on the beach, and Cal was on hand to take a snap of her holding her her brand new Alvero Martini bag.
Maura recently highlighted the pressures to return to work straight after herself and her husband John welcomed their son Cal back in May 2014.
She explained to the Sunday Independent that she "probably would have been replaced" if she hadn't returned.
However the mother of one said she was glad to go back to work and that "it's actually easier to go to work than to take care of a child all day".
