Maura admits Love Island girls thought Curtis was camp as she raves about his sexual performance

Maura Higgins has admitted the other Love Island girls thought her partner Curtis Pritchard was "camp", despite her branding him manly.

Speaking for the first time since the couple had sex - which Curtis had been saving for outside the villa - Maura made the big confession.

The 28-year-old grid girl had been seen trying to seduce the professional dancer with her antics and persuading him to have sex on the day bed.

After the Side Bar of Shame game on the show - where real headlines about the Islanders were read out - Maura was left furious at viewers who branded Curtis as "fake" and said their relationship was "staged".

Speaking to India Reynolds, 28, Maura complained: "He is manly... He doesn't f**king shave his legs!"

Curtis, 23, played it cool and said, "Maura thinks I'm manly and that's all that matters," but later on asked his pals in the villa including Tommy Fury, Amber Gill and Anna Vakili if they thought he was "manly".

He joked: "Does no one think I'm manly? Because this is really getting to me now!"

Since leaving the villa less than a week ago, the couple have had sex back in the 'real world' in Maura's home town in County Longford, and she has delightfully boasted: "I'd give him ten out of ten."

Maura told the Sun : "Curtis is a good lad. He’s so kind, chatty, fun, tall — I love a tall man — and he's an amazing dancer.

"I find it so attractive, watching him dance."

However, she admitted: "Some of the girls, Amber and Anna, did say to me they thought he was a bit camp. But I think that's just banter with Curtis. He's a very manly man."

In one episode on the show, the grid girl was left fuming after her beau refused to have sex with her and told her, "Tonight's not the night," which left Maura ranting to her fellow Islanders the next day.

"A coffee? An orgasm would be grand," she snapped.

Adapting to her new life outside of the villa, she admitted: "We've had a good time. Was he worth the wait? Definitely, 100 per cent. I did try a few times in the villa, in the bedroom and on the outside bed.

Millions of viewers watched Maura and Curtis reach last week's final and come fourth place, and she insists the pair can last outside the villa.

She added: "We have agreed we need to make sure we make time for each other, because we do really like each other and want it to work."

She has since risen to fame for her "fanny flutters" catchphrase and has landed a presenting job on This Morning.

The couple will appear on the Love Island reunion tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
