If you loved the over-the-top romanticism of palace interiors growing up, then 2025 just might be your year. The Rococo Revival trend has rocketed luxe materials and 18th-century glamor into popularity once more. No one captures this vintage-inspired (but modern) style better than Maude Apatow.
The Euphoria actor's New York City apartment is the perfect embodiment of the stunning interior design trend. She created her dream home with the Soho Home Interior Design Service, opting for a pastel pink feminine aesthetic with stylish period details. The home is littered with gold rimmed mirrors, marble, and richly textured rugs.
Shelley Cochrane, interior design expert at Furniture Village, explains the timeless appeal of the 'old-fashioned' decorating technique.
She states: 'Rococo Revival interiors, popular in Britain during the mid-19th century, reimagined the ornate elegance of 18th-century French Rococo. While antique pieces are ideal, this romantic, decorative style can still be achieved with modern or second-hand furniture by focusing on shape, detail, and texture.'

Bring shape to your edit with this scalloped side table. The table is crafted from fiber cement with a travertine-like finish for a sophisticated end table indoors or out. Polka dots have dominated trends this year, and this pink and purple rug is one of the most timeless ways to integrate the look into your home. Orange and cream accents add a stylish lightness to the washable rug.
Though imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, it's also possible to tap into the look by following your impulses by decorating with antiques.
Shelley advises: 'Look for furniture with curved lines and decorative accents. Even a standard armchair or sideboard can nod to the Rococo style if it features scroll-like details, floral patterns, or subtle carving. Painted or dark-stained wood works well, especially if you choose pieces in walnut or mahogany tones.'
'You can also use furniture with lightly gilded trims or metal hardware to hint at the opulence of the period,' she continues, 'Adding fringe trim, tufted cushions, or even a decorative throw can enhance the richness without needing fully bespoke upholstery.'
She concludes: 'To complete the look, focus on a few key accessories, think floral curtains with tiebacks, patterned cushions, and textured rugs. These elements, when combined thoughtfully, can give an ordinary living space a distinctly Rococo Revival atmosphere, refined, romantic, and full of charm.'
