Matty Cash reveals what Sabri Lamouchi tells Nottingham Forest players 'all of the time'

Midfielder Matty Cash has offered an insight into what to expect under new Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi this season.

Frenchman Lamouchi replaced Martin O’Neill at the helm back in June, and will be looking to mount a promotion push in the Championship this term.

The Reds get their campaign underway against West Bromwich Albion at the City Ground, and Cash has given an indication of what the head coach will be looking for from his side.

Asked what kind of style of play Lamouchi has been working in training, he told the matchday programme: “It is playing good football and being confident.

“He says it to us all of the time. I’m not going to give everything away, but it is about having that freedom in the final third and doing your job, working hard and having a dedication to the game. That is what he is inputting.”

And Cash says he has enjoyed working under Lamouchi so far.

“It has been really good, he is a fantastic coach. Obviously he has a style that he wants to play and we have all bought into that,” he said.

“We have had a good few weeks, away in Spain and then Greece, and a bit of team bonding. But we cannot wait, we are raring to go.”
