Matthijs de Ligt explains most important factor of transfer decision amid Manchester United links

Matthijs de Ligt insists he has not yet made his mind up over his future after being linked with a move away from Ajax this summer.

The centre back is one of the hottest transfer prospects this summer and has already been linked with moves to Manchester United, Barcelona, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool.

The 19-year-old has impressed for Ajax and with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looking for a defender this summer the centre back has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Club sources do not expect the defender to be at Old Trafford next season with the belief that his agent Mino Raiola is using other interest to get De Ligt a better deal at Barcelona.

The Dutch international has been adding to the speculation by refusing to commit his long term future to Ajax and was asked again about his future after the Netherlands beat England in the Nations League on Thursday.

"Obviously the Premier League is a great competition, but I haven’t made up my mind yet," he told talkSPORT in Portugal.

"I’m still looking at what to do. For me, the most important thing is to play. I think today showed what experience can do.

"Now I’m focusing on the next game against Portugal, that’s the most important thing."
