Matthijs de Ligt agrees personal terms with Juventus in blow to Man Utd

Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt has agreed personal terms with Juventus as the clubs continue to haggle over a fee, according to his agent Mino Raiola.

Ajax have agreed not to block de Ligt's exit this summer if they receive a satisfactory offer and Juve remain at the front of the race.

The Serie A champions have had a reported offer in the region of £45million knocked back but they remain optimistic a deal will be struck.

De Ligt had been keen on a move to Barcelona before Raiola engineered a bidding war and Juve stole a march. Manchester United and PSG were also interested in doing a deal for De Ligt.

"Matthijs has agreed personal terms with Juve," Raiola told Dutch paper De Telegraaf. "We're waiting for them to complete the agreement with Ajax soon.

"An arbitration case is out of the question for us, I advised Matthijs [on this], because it does not suit his style.

"The player only hopes that Juventus and Ajax will show the will to get out and that the deal is completed quickly."
