Matthew Stafford sets team record for most passing yards in a 1st quarter

Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions roared out of the gate on Monday Night Football. Two long passes punctuated an outstanding first quarter that saw the Lions race out to a 10-0 lead.

Stafford threw for 168 yards in the first quarter. According to ESPN Stats & Info, that’s a personal record for the Lions QB. He’s never topped that in a first quarter in his 11-year career.
