Matthew Stafford injures throwing hand vs. Football Team but stays in the game

Lions quarterback suffered a couple of injury scares early in the Week 10 matchup with the Washington Football Team. A few plays after having his helmet knocked off thanks to an illegal hit, Stafford injured his throwing hand after making a pass attempt.

Stafford finished the drive but immediately sought treatment from the trainers on the sidelines for his right hand. He reemerged for the next drive with his thumb and wrist taped up. His first few throws after the injury proved Stafford was no worse for the wearing.

He was able to throw a frozen rope to wide receiver Marvin Jones for a sweet touchdown pass on the very next drive.
