Matthew Perry looks different from his Friends days as he wears coronavirus mask

Matthew Perry looked worlds away from his Friends hey day when he wore a coronavirus mask in Los Angeles.

The actor first found his feet on the ladder to fame when he landed the role as hunky and charming Chandler Bing in Friends in 1994.

Now the sitcom star, 50, was seen going about his day-to-day life in Los Angeles with a mask on amid the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe.

Matthew grabbed a takeaway coffee from a café as shops and restaurants have begun to open their doors to customers.

The charming star layered a checkered shirt over his grey T-shirt for his low-key outing.

Matthew emerged from lockdown after he issued a warning to his fan base to stay alert as he said "COVID is still very much with us".

In a message on Instagram, he wrote: "Just a FRIENDly reminder that Covid is still very much with us.

"Nothing has changed when it comes to that. Just because bars and restaurants are opening up, it does not mean that they are safe."

This warning was sent out to his seven million loyal followers accompanied with a backdrop of Malibu ahead of the weekend.

Excitement has been building after he joined his Friends co-stars to tease the upcoming reunion.

Original stars from the series have got on board to revive the series which run from 1994 until 2004.

Filming for the one-off special episode has been postponed as a result of coronavirus.

In the meantime, Matt has been holed up at his chic beachfront Malibu home during the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe.

During lockdown, he admitted while he had a fire pit and the ocean on his doorstep he had "no idea" what to do.
