Matthew Pennington open to Hull City move, Nottingham Forest eye former Albion man - latest Championship rumours

The 2019/20 Championship campaign currently finds itself in shutdown due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The season was postponed up until April 30 at the very earliest on Friday, after the campaign had originally been on hold until April 3.

So, with no on-field action taking place for at least the next five weeks, it is transfer gossip and speculation that will be dominating the headlines.

And with that in mind, here is a round-up of the very latest rumours from across the Championship.

Pennington open to Hull move

Everton loanee Matthew Pennington is open to a permanent move to Hull City this summer.

The defender joined the Tigers on loan last August and has made 11 appearances in all competitions for the Yorkshire side this season.

And according to Hull Live, the 25-year-old wants to plant roots somewhere and would be open to joining City if the opportunity arose this summer.

Forest eye former Albion man

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a summer move for Nigerian striker Brown Ideye.

The 31-year-old is currently playing for Greek club Aris, also spent one season with West Brom in the Premier League, scoring four goals in the top flight in 24 matches.

A report in Greece, via Nottingham Live, claims that the forward is eager to return to English football once his contract with Aris expires this summer - and is "in the running for Nottingham Forest".

Derby County back in for £13m-rated defender

Derby County are being linked with a move for Fenerbahce’s Ferdi Kadioglu this summer.

It is not the first time the Rams have been linked with the 20-year-old, as a possible move was muted during the January transfer window.

But Turkish media outlet Fotospor, via Derbyshire Live, are reporting that the Rams are ready to revisit a possible deal for the Dutch Under-21 international in the coming months.
