Matthew Judon thinks Patriots are excelling at maximizing his impact

Matthew Judon was one of the key pieces in the New England Patriots offseason spending spree. As roles in the defense become more clear, Judon is liking how he fits into the equation.

Judon comes to New England after spending five years with the Baltimore Ravens. Recording  236 tackles in that timeframe, he was a key piece of that defensive unit.

As New England looks to have more stability on that side of the football, Judon  likes how New England is trying to break him into what they do. As he indicated to the media on Tuesday, they keep trying to figure out ways on how to fit him in.

“They’re basically saying, ‘What can you do? What can you do, and let’s make that better. And let’s enhance what you can do.’ They’re not trying to rebuild the wheel, they’re just making sure it runs correctly,” he said Monday on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “That’s what they’re doing. I think they’re doing a great job of just fitting and plugging me in into where they think I will make the most impact on the team.”

With 9.5 sacks in 2019, Judon has the ability to be both a pass-roster and run-stopper. It will be intriguing to see how he fits best in what is a revamped New England defense.
