Here is your Arsenal morning digest for Thursday, February 11.
Arsenal's Guendouzi stance
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims Arsenal are open to allowing Matteo Guendouzi to return to the club next season.
The midfielders currently on loan at Hertha Berlin and impressing after falling out with Mikel Arteta last season.
But Romano claims the Gunners are still open to Guendouzi returning and winning a spot in Arteta's starting XI.
“They appreciate the talent, they appreciate the player," he told the Blind Gooner Podcast. "They were thinking like he should be a starter, not just one of the midfielders.
"When a player comes back, a lot of situations could change. Arsenal are open with Matteo."
Saka wins player of the month
Arsenal have confirmed Bukayo Saka has won the club's player of the month award again.
Saka has won the award for the second straight month having featured regularly under Arteta this season, already racking up 27 appearances across all competitions.
In the month of January, the 19-year-old talent scored three goals and assisted once in the Premier League as Arsenal went unbeaten as part of their resurgence following a slow start to the campaign.
As ever, the player of the month award was decided on fan votes and Saka received 46% of the votes with Emile Smith Rowe finishing second and Rob Holding third.
Partey boost
Thomas Partey is set to hand Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta a massive injury boost ahead of the Premier League clash with Leeds United on Sunday.
The midfielder had emerged as a doubt for the Gunners after limping out of the 1-0 loss at Aston Villa last weekend.
Partey, a £45m signing from Atletico Madrid last summer, has had a stop-start season due to injury issues since arriving at the Emirates Stadium and it appeared disaster had struck yet again at Villa Park.
With Arsenal chasing a goal, the midfielder felt some pain in his thigh before signalling to the bench that he needed to be substituted with 15 minutes to go.
Willian came on to replace the Ghana international with 15 minutes to go and Arteta delivered an update on the midfielder in his post-match press conference.
"I don't know he had a muscular issue so we had to take him off," said Arteta. "He could not carry on playing. We will see the extent of the injury.
"He wasn't feeling well enough to continue playing so we had to take him off."
With that said, the good news for the Gunners boss is that Partey's injury is not serious and the 27-year-old could be back to face Marcelo Bielsa's side.
football.london understands that the injury is not considered serious and the midfielder will spend the next few days recovering ahead of the match at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
