Matteo Guendouzi's troubles at Arsenal laid bare as Jonathan David 'agrees' to join Lille

Here's all the news from around the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.

Inside story of Guendouzi's Arsenal troubles

What will surely have frustrated Mikel Arteta most about Matteo Guendouzi over recent weeks is that he has given the French youngster numerous opportunities to make amends and repair his fraying ties with Arsenal.

football.london understands that Arteta has given Guendouzi several opportunities, both formally and informally, to apologise for disciplinary matters that have seen him exiled from first team training since the 2-1 defeat to Brighton over a fortnight ago.

And our man James Benge has the inside story of Guendouzi's Arsenal troubles and what Arteta has done since that incident on the south coast.

David agrees to join Lille

Lille have agreed terms with Canadian attacking midfielder Jonathan David over a move this summer.

David has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks, but according to French radio station RMC Sport, now appears to be heading to France this summer.

The midfielder has 18 scored goals and claimed eights assists playing for Gent this season and is expected to cost Lille €30million.

Arteta unhappy with referee call

Mikel Arteta has questioned why Eddie Nketiah was sent off but Jamie Vardy wasn’t during his side’s draw with Leicester City.

VAR came into play again late in the game as Nketiah was sent off for a dangerous challenge on James Justin.

Vardy, who had clashed with Shkodran Mustafi in the first half, then equalised courtesy of another lengthy VAR check and Arteta was left less than impressed with the decision to only send one of the two off.

"I have my opinion. They are clear incidents. The referees can get it wrong or right but that's it,” he said post-match. "If you review, it has to be equal for everyone. If Eddie's is a red card so is the other.

Before adding on Nketiah: "He's disappointed. He said sorry and that he didn't mean to do that. I know when he goes for every ball it's because he is so willing to win every challenge.

"He's on the front foot in every action and he didn't see the player coming up and didn't want to hurt anyone. It's part of the process, they are really young, they need to learn from these situations and hopefully, it won't happen again."
