Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is set to return to the club when his loan spell with Hertha Berlin comes to an end.
The German side have decided the Frenchman has no future in the capital.
Guendouzi was sent out on loan having fallen out of favour at the Emirates last season, with Mikel Arteta keen to move the player on for good.
However Arsenal will again be seeking suitors for the 21-year-old this summer, with the Bundesliga side having opted against making the temporary switch a permanent one.
Guendouzi initially impressed following his summer move, but according to reports in BILD, the player is now ‘conspicuous’ for his ‘theatrical appearances’ which club are unimpressed with.

The player is also described as ‘moody’, 'stubborn' and 'resistant to advice', hence the decision not to retain him beyond the current campaign.
Having lost his place in the starting line up following the sacking of manager Bruno Labbadia, the fiery midfielder was also involved in controversy earlier this season, publicly rowing with teammate Matheus Cunha during a game.
Pal Dardai, who replaced Labbadia, has been scathing in his assessment of the player, insisting he has a lot of growing up to do.
“It's like puberty for him, he's kind of a rebel. He has to work and learn like an animal.” Dardai said.
With every indication suggesting Arteta has no plans for Guendouzi, Arsenal will try to entice other potential buyers for the once-promising player signed from Lorient as a teenager in 2018.
Guendouzi himself has hinted he hopes to get back in his manager’s good books and fight for his place at Arsenal, if allowed, upon his return to London.
“This summer will be a decisive moment. I belong to Arsenal for another year,” he said in a recent interview with France Football.
"From the moment that I am playing for Arsenal, I will give everything for the club, fans, team, and staff.”
