It remains to be seen whether or not Matteo Guendouzi has a future at Arsenal.
The midfielder fell out of favour with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta and was sent out on loan to Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga for the 2020/21 campaign.
Guendouzi was criticised for his actions and performance during a defeat to Brighton last season and then had a falling out with Arteta, leading to his loan move to Germany.
Guendouzi aimed a thinly-veiled dig at Arteta recently when discussing his Berlin loan move.
He told Telefoot .: "I needed to have fun on the pitch, to regain confidence and that's what Hertha offers me. It really is a choice I made.
"In the space of two seasons I have played more than 80 games with Arsenal. When you play less, you start to think and it hurts."
Guendouzi has split opinion amongst the Gunners fanbase since his arrival from Lorient in 2018, and his most recent comments are unlikely to endear him to the supporters any more.
Speaking to Oh My Goal US, Guendouzi was asked who he thought the best player in the Premier League was.
And he immediately answered: "Kevin de Bruyne. He's someone who is everywhere, with his passing quality, his vision of the game.
"For me he's one of the best midfielders in the world."
Guendouzi could have stopped there, but he did not. And brought up Arsenal's fierce rivals Tottenham and a player on their books.
"I'd also say Son at Tottenham. He's a player who does a lot of good for his team."
