Matteo Guendouzi on how Aubameyang and Lacazette have helped him since joining Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has described striking duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette 'like two big brothers' and said that both have helped him to settle at the Emirates Stadium.

The France U21 international arrived at the club in the summer of 2018 and has gone onto establish himself as a key member of Unai Emery's squad.

Both Aubameyang and Lacazette are popular players among both supporters and teammates, and Guendouzi has revealed a morning ritual of both players that involves him.

"He [Aubameyang] gives me a little punch on my left shoulder every morning, with his attacking colleague Lacazette, every morning," the 20-year-old told Canal Football Club (via Get French Football news ). "They are really important to me. They are like two big brothers ever since I arrived, they made it really easy for me, on the pitch and off of it. They are super guys."

Arsenal player ratings vs Burnley

Arsenal have got off to a positive start in the league this season, winning both of their opening two games, causing optimism to course through the Emirates Stadium, and Guendouzi has a top four spot in his sights, as well as a spot in his national team.

"We clearly have a better squad than last season with big signings this summer," he said. "We hold all the cards to have a great season and finish in the top 4 to be able to play in the Champions’ League next season."

"My aim is to be in the senior French national team. I know I still have a lot of work ahead of me.

"I did the Euros with the U21s this summer, we have the Olympics coming next summer, so if I continue on my path, with more work and continuing to show my qualities on the pitch, I hope I will be there one day."
