Matteo Guendouzi explains what Dani Ceballos and David Luiz will add to Arsenal this season

Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has given his thoughts on the new arrivals at the Emirates Stadium during the summer.

The transfer window saw five new arrivals at the club, with Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba, Dani Ceballos, Nicolas Pepe and David Luiz all coming through the door. Although, Saliba has returned to previous club Saint Etienne on a season long loan deal, and Martinelli has been bought as a future prospect.

Both Luiz and Ceballos started the victory against Burnley last week to make their full Arsenal debuts, with Ceballos in particular leaving his mark on the game by providing the assists for both of the Gunners' goals. Nicolas Pepe has also impressed in cameos for the club, and could be in line for his first start of the season in the coming games.

Guendouzi, who himself was a summer arrival last year has claimed that the three players have helped to strengthen the team this season.

"David Luiz brings a lot of experience and is a very comprehensive defender," he told Sky Sports.

"Ceballos is a very technical player and played excellently against Burnley, while Pepe is a player I know well from France.

"I think all three bring a lot of strength and positive aspects to the team."

Arsenal travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool tomorrow (Saturday), a game which the Gunners lost 5-1 last season, but the Frenchman insists that it will be a different story this time around.

"Last year was not our finest hour but it's very different to last season, it's a new game and new team so I don't see why it would be the same result," said Guendouzi.

"We've had a much better start as well - last year we started with two losses but this year we are already six points up.

"We have a better team overall and we're feeling good about ourselves, we have a good team and we believe in ourselves.

"I know we can do really well, we are going there to win and I believe we can beat any Premier League side."
