Matt Willis hoping to follow in presenter wife Emma's footsteps and land TV job

Matt Willis and wife Emma have plans to become a TV power couple, it has been reported.

The former Busted star is said to be desperate to not only follow in her footsteps, but stand alongside her.

The 38-year-old is serious about the move - and has recently signed up to Emma’s management company

He has already turned his hand to acting, landing a rule in Waitress at the New Wimbledon Theatre later this year.

He will also appear in World War Two movie Wolves Of War after parts in Birds of a Feather and EastEnders.

Now he wants to make the move into presenting and working alongside his wife in the future is reportedly a big aim.

It is claimed the singer has already had castings for new TV shows.

“After over two decades in Busted, Matt is preparing to make the move into TV presenting - he is totally overhauling his image and sees his future on the box," a source told The Sun.

“Matt is so serious about this new step he has signed up to Emma’s management company, who helped curate her career to make her a huge star.

"Together, the pair are being touted as TV’s new power couple."

It is said he was in the final selection for BBC2’s new series Rock Of Ages but missed out to Martin Kemp.

But he is hopeful of landing his first gig soon - and fans can expect to see him on the box in the months ahead.

Emma's career has taken off, hosting The Voice, The Circle and Big Brother.

She is currently looking after things on Cooking With The Stars, ITV's new celebrity culinary contest.

Matt and Emma married in July 2008, and have three children together, Isabelle, 12, Ace, nine, and Trixie, five.

They met in 2004, when he was in Busted and she was presenting MTV.

Early into their relationship, Matt suffered with addiction and had a spell in rehab - that only pulled them closer together, she said.

Emma told the Telegraph: “I wasn’t going to leave him because he had a problem.

“I wanted to help him, but he had to help himself and I believed he would. What really changed him was our daughter, Isabelle.

“He was already doing it [recovery] himself, then she arrived and that made him even more determined.”
