Matt Ryan could pass 3 all-time great QBs in passing yards in 2019

Matt Ryan doesn’t get as much media attention as some of the NFL’s other elite quarterbacks. However, his statistical production puts him right up there with some of the best to ever play the game. Ryan, 33, currently sits at No. 12 on the NFL’s all-time passing yards leaders list after throwing for over 4,000 yards for an eighth consecutive year in 2018. If Ryan can put together another good year in 2019, he could move ahead of three Hall-of-Fame quarterbacks.

Fran Tarkenton (47,003 yards), Warren Moon (49,325 yards), and John Elway (51,475 yards) could each be passed by Ryan (46,720 yards) if he throws for 4,755 yards this season.

In case you’re wondering, Ryan has thrown for more yards than that in two of the past three years, making it a real possibility he could move up to No. 9 on the all-time list by the end of next season.

That’s pretty impressive when you consider that Ryan could realistically play another five-six years at a high level.
