Matt O'Riley praises Oh Hyeon-gyu after Celtic double

Matt O'Riley has opened up on his delight for Celtic team-mate Oh Hyeon-gyu after the South Korean's double against Hibernian.

The striker has found his game time limited this season, with the match against Nick Montgomery's side marking only his second start of the season.

And O'Riley feels Oh will go from strength to strength. Speaking to Celtic TV, he said: "He has had to wait for his chance, at times, and it’s not easy when you are only getting 15-20 minutes to get a goal.

“I think he deserves it. He works really hard every day, so I am very happy for him.”

Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers provided an update on Cameron Carter-Vickers after the defender was substituted at half time during the victory over the Easter Road club.

The Scottish champions ran out 4-1 winners at Parkhead but one negative for the hosts was the withdrawal of the USA international during the break.

However, Rodgers reassured fans that it was just a precaution.

"Cam just felt his hamstring so we did not want to take any risks. He has not pulled it but he just felt it a bit tight," he said.

"It is probably due to the accumulation of games and it [centre-back] is the one position we have not changed around too much because the continuity is very important.

"We just took him off as a precaution."
