For the second straight day, Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy refused to commit to a starting quarterback for this Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.
But it doesn’t matter what Nagy says — or doesn’t say in this case. Because it’s become increasingly clear how things are going to play out on Sunday.
Mitchell Trubisky was a full participant once again taking starting reps for the second straight practice this week. Meanwhile, Nick Foles missed his second practice this week as he continues to nurse a hip injury suffered a couple of weeks ago against the Minnesota Vikings.
Still, Nagy continues to refrain from making any sort of official quarterback announcement, although Friday sounds like it’ll be the day. Which makes sense given that’s the final practice ahead of Sunday’s game.

Still, it doesn’t make sense for Nagy to continue to dodge the question about who will start at quarterback. Especially as he continues to praise Trubisky this week.
