Matt Nagy set a Bears record in 2018

What a year Chicago Bears coach Matt Nagy had in 2018. He led the NFL’s most historic franchise back from the dead and enjoyed a 12-4 season that culminated in an NFC North championship and a playoff berth.

Oh, yeah, he was also named the 2018 NFL Coach of the Year.

Nagy’s unbelievable season was also a historic one in Chicago. His 12 wins were the most by any first-year coach in franchise history, according to team reporter Larry Mayer.

While the analysts and fans might love to obsess over the offensive genius that is Sean McVay, the reality is no active coach in the NFL had as successful of a first year as Nagy had in 2018.

Add his hire to the growing list of incredible decisions made by general manager Ryan Pace. With Nagy and Pace running this franchise, the future of the Bears is as bright as ever.
