Matt Nagy: If Bears must go on Twitter, ‘just wish somebody Happy Birthday’

Bears receiver Allen Robinson and running back Tarik Cohen each sparred with critics on Twitter on Sunday night.

Robinson, the Bears’ leading receiver, barked at someone who thought he taunted after a touchdown. Cohen didn’t like comments about his height after video showed the Saints mocking it. After the game, Cohen told reporters he didn’t care about the Saints’ height cracks.

Coach Matt Nagy said Monday he wants his players to ignore the outside noise after Sunday’s 36-25 loss at Soldier Field.

“And then stay off the Twitter and all that other ...” he said. “And if you’re going to do something like that, just wish somebody, ‘Happy Birthday.””
