Matt Lucas and David Walliams to reunite on Little Britain on TV for first time in a decade

Matt Lucas and David Walliams are back together once more for Little Britain on BBC One for the first time since 2009.

The former comedy partners last performed their famous sketch show characters on Comic Relief 2009, which was the last time Lucas appeared as part of the Little Britain sketches until now.

A brand new sketch will be performed on BBC One as part of the TV fundraiser, Big Bight In, and the details are being kept top secret until the live show on Thursday, April 23.

The Big Night In will see BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief team up for the first time, is set to celebrate "the acts of kindness, humour and the spirit of hope and resilience that is keeping the nation going" as the country continues to deal with the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

The Big Night In,   which the BBC has confirmed will follow the government's social distancing guidelines, will see appearances from the likes of Peter Kay, Gary Barlow, and Catherine Tate.

In October last year the Little Britain team did reunite but for radio show, Little Brexit. Little Britain started out as a Radio 4 comedy in 2000 before launching on BBC Three and later repeating on BBC Two thanks to its popularity.
