Have no doubt that Matt LeBlanc is totally the best man for BBC2’s Top Gear. So says his Episodes co-star, Stephen Mangan, in the new issue of Radio Times.
“If anyone was born to do that show, it’s Matt,” said Mangan. “He really does know his cars inside out. And he also managed to do the fastest lap in the show’s history, giving a comedy routine as he went round and being really funny. So it’s the perfect fit.”
Mangan, you may remember, retweeted a photo of Chris Evans, LeBlanc and the Stig when the former Friends man’s signing was announced. “Still annoyed they made me wear that helmet,” he joked. LeBlanc responded by inviting Mangan on the show to try to beat his time around the Top Gear track.
