Matt LaFleur says Packers WR Davante Adams could be game-time decision vs. Chiefs

Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur provided few details about the status of receiver Davante Adams, but he did indicate Adams could be a game-time decision on Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs.

“Yeah, it could go right up to game time, to be truthful,” LaFleur said Wednesday. “I’m not quite sure where we’re at with him right now.”

Adams, who injured his toe on Sept. 26 against the Philadelphia Eagles, has missed the last three games, but he returned and briefly participated during Wednesday’s walkthrough practice.

A possibility of a game-time decision suggests more improvement for Adams, who said he felt “a million times better” last week. During each of the last three games, the Packers officially ruled him out two days before the game.

The team will release the first injury report of the week later Wednesday. Official injury designations will be provided Friday, which will likely provide more clarity on Adams’ potential availability for Sunday.

In the Packers’ first four games, Adams caught 25 passes for 378 yards. The Packers are 3-0 without him, with wins over the Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders the last three weeks.
