NEW DELHI: Fast bowler Matt Henry surpassed legendary Kiwi pacer Sir Richard Hadlee to become New Zealand's eighth-highest wicket-taker in ODIs after claiming five wickets against India in Dubai.
During Sunday's Champions Trophy group stage match between India and New Zealand, the right-arm fast bowler exceeded Hadlee's ODI wicket tally of 158.

Henry's outstanding bowling performance of 5/42 devastated the Indian batting lineup. His career statistics now show 163 wickets in 90 matches, with an average of 24.85 and a strike rate of 28.78.
The New Zealand bowler dismissed several key Indian players, including Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja. He completed his five-wicket haul by dismissing Mohammed Shami on the final delivery of India's innings.
Henry's excellent record against India in the powerplay continued, as he has now taken 10 wickets in the first 10 overs, maintaining an average of 20.20, a strike rate of 28.8, and an economy rate of 4.20.
The fast bowler made an early breakthrough by removing the in-form Shubman Gill for just two runs. The young opener fell victim to an inswinging delivery that trapped him leg before wicket.
Henry's next significant wicket was Kohli, who was playing his 300th ODI. Glenn Phillips took a brilliant one-handed catch at point to dismiss the Indian batting star.
The New Zealand pacer broke a crucial partnership by dismissing Jadeja with a back-of-length delivery, which resulted in a spectacular one-handed catch by Kane Williamson at backward point.
Henry then outsmarted Hardik Pandya, who was looking dangerous, with a slower delivery. Pandya's attempt to find the boundary resulted in a catch by Rachin Ravindra at deep square leg.
