Health Secretary Matt Hancock will make a Commons statement at around 3.30pm to update MPs on the latest developments in the fight against Covid-19.
That will be followed by a statement from Education Secretary Gavin Williamson on “education recovery” following the pandemic.
Mr Hancock's comments come amid growing speculation that the June 21 lockdown lifting will be delayed.
The Government has said it is looking at a delay of several weeks because of the surge in Covid variants across the UK.
There are fears that children returning to school after half term could help spread the virus.= - with some experts calling for all over 12s to be vaccinated.
There are also calls for the Government to keep lockdown rules such as working from home, wearing masks and social distancing.
