Health Secretary Matt Hancock will hold a press conference at 5pm during which he will announce further details on the Government’s community testing programme, Downing Street has said.
It has been rumoured the first Uk vaccines could be used from Wednesday, with approval from the regulators expected this week.
Mr Hancock is likely to give an update on the latest vaccine news.
He will also address the new tiers set to come into force across England from Wednesday - if they are approved by MPs.
The House of Commons will vote on themeasures on Tuesday - with 100 Conservative MPs having doubts over the tough rules.
