It has been revealed that the wife of the former Health Secretary Matt Hancock is friends on Facebook with his lover and former close aide.
According to Birmingham Live, Martha Hancock was under the impression that her marriage was "happy and stable".
Mr Hancock quite his Cabinet position after his kiss with an aide, Gina Coladangelo, was revealed by CCTV images of the pair together.
It has been reported that he allegedly told his wife Martha that he was leaving her the night before the affair was exposed to the public.
It has been revealed that Gina Coladangelo and her husband Oliver Tress, the founder of retail giant Oliver Bonas, had attended parties at the Hancock household.
Friends of the former Health Secretary say his relationship with Gina is "recent but serious", Sky News has reported.
Mr Hancock is also coming under scrutiny over the appointment of Mrs Coladangelo, a close friend he first met at university, first as an unpaid adviser in the department and then as a non-executive director.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, Mr Hancock said: "The last thing I would want is for my private life to distract attention from the single-minded focus that is leading us out of this crisis.
"I want to reiterate my apology for breaking the guidance, and apologise to my family and loved ones for putting them through this. I also need to be with my children at this time."
He said: "We owe it to people who have sacrificed so much in this pandemic to be honest when we have let them down as I have done by breaching the guidance."
