Matt Hancock 'fuming' he didn't beat Jill Scott to I'm A Celeb crown as fans spot clue

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! fans believe that Matt Hancock was left furious when he discovered he came third on the show.

The disgraced MP ruffled feathers with his controversial appearance on the show but managed to win the public over and was voted through to the final.

However, the 44-year-old was booted out in third place, with Hollyoaks star Owen Warner, 23, coming in second place while retired footballer Jill Scott, 35, was crowned the Queen of the Jungle.

But some fans believe Hancock's facial expressions gave his true feelings away, despite the Chester-born backbencher still hugging Jill and Owen after their victory.

Viewers on social media have claimed Hancock appeared to be disheartened when hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly gave him his marching orders from camp.

"Matt Hancock visibly gutted he is out. He genuinely thought he was going to win," tweeted one.

Before a second penned: "Matt Hancock looks more gutted that he hasn't won #ImACelebrity than when he had to resign as Health Secretary."

"Matt Hancock looked gutted finding out he failed to win @imacelebrity - what an ego. His 'move on' or 'start anew' project has hit the buffers. Reality beyond the jungle is a brave new hell," added a third.

While a fourth commented: "Matt Hancock is genuinely gutted he didn't win isn't he!"

Despite Hancock being less than impressed about not winning, he was overjoyed when he was met on the famous exit bridge by his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo after three weeks away from one another.

As the controversial couple embraced one another, fans were left cringing as he whispered: "I love you so much!" to the woman he had an affair with.

Viewers couldn't help but fume, claiming the couple had "no shame" as they passionately reunited, despite tearing both of their families apart when their affair came to light.

Despite their huge love for one another, Hancock has recently abandoned Gina who was forced to fly home with Jill and her fiancée Shelly Unitt while he remained in Australia – lapping up his newfound "celebrity" status.

Discussing Mr Hancock's decision to let Gina fly home solo, a source told the Mirror: "Matt was due to go home on Tuesday afternoon Australian time with lots of the other contestants and Gina.

"But he left her to fly home alone so he could make more money with a big interview. Gina was lucky winner Jill and Shelly took her under their wing and they stayed with her in the queue."
