Health secretary Matt Hancock has insisted the UK will not offer to host this summer's Euros.
A report from the The Sunday Times suggested the delayed tournament, set to be held across several European cities, could be moved to the UK because of the country's rapid coronavirus vaccine rollout.
But Hancock has dismissed such claims, with Euro 2020 scheduled to be played in 12 different countries.
"I haven't seen anything on that, I understand that that's not right," he told Sky News when asked about the report.
The UK will still be a prominent destination throughout the tournament. As it stands, the semi-finals and final will be held at Wembley, though whether fans will be able to attend remains to be seen.
Boris Johnson claimed on Saturday that all adults in the country would be offered a vaccine by the end of July. This, according to the Times, led to Oliver Dowden's suggestion that it might be possible to hold the entire tournament in the UK.
The Euros will take place between 11 June and 11 July, assuming there are no more postponements.
