Matt Doherty passes medical ahead of Tottenham transfer from Wolves

Matt Doherty has completed his medical ahead of his move to Tottenham Hotspur, football.london understands.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers right-back was put through his paces at the north London club on Saturday ahead of his move to the capital.

Doherty passed his medical and the two clubs will now finalise the deal that will see Tottenham get the 28-year-old for a bargain price, with a fee believed to be around £13million.

Spurs wanted to get the deal sealed before the Dubliner links up with the Republic of Ireland squad on Sunday.

Doherty and his Irish team-mates will fly out to Bulgaria on Tuesday for their Nations League game on Thursday.

The right-back will then return and be available for Tottenham's opening Premier League game of the season at home to Everton on September 13.

Tottenham are willing to listen to offers for Serge Aurier, who has been linked with AC Milan, Bayer Leverkusen and Monaco.

However, they will only let the Ivorian, who asked to leave the club last summer, go if their valuation is met.

Aurier played the full 90 minutes as Spurs beat Birmingham 1-0 in a friendly on Saturday afternoon.
