The short turnaround between Weeks 8 and 9 for the 49ers is a blessing and a curse. They need the additional days off that come with playing Thursday, but they’ll enter the game pretty banged up.
They released the official injury report for Thursday’s divisional showdown with the Cardinals, and not much changed between this week and the report prior to their game against Carolina.
Left tackle Joe Staley is still recovering from a broken fibula and is doubtful for Thursday. Running back Matt Breida injured his ankle Sunday and may not be able to play, and running back Raheem Mostert is also on the injury report for the second consecutive week.
A healthy 49ers squad should beat Arizona soundly. The injuries on the short week make the task a little more daunting.
