Matt Breida officially active for 49ers, Marquise Goodwin ruled out

The third-year back was not on the team’s list of inactive players though, which means he will suit up for the NFC West showdown.

Marquise Goodwin is a surprise scratch. He missed last week’s game after dealing with a personal issue throughout the week. He was with the team on the short week when they didn’t go through a full practice, and is a healthy inactive for Thursday.

QB CJ Beathard
OT Joe Staley
OT Mike McGlinchey
CB Ahkello Witherspoon
FB Kyle Juszczyk
DL Jullian Taylor
WR Marquise Goodwin

San Francisco expects to have Joe Staley, Witherspoon and Juszczyk back for their Monday night game Week 10 against the Seahawks.

Emmanuel Sanders, Deebo Samuel, Dante Pettis, Kendrick Bourne and Richie James will be the 49ers’ available receivers vs. Arizona.

Here’s the Cardinals list of inactives, including their top two running backs, David Johnson and Chase Edmonds:
