The 49ers may be without one of their top running backs to close out Sunday’s game in Washington. Matt Breida exited in the middle of the third quarter to be evaluated for a head injury.
He didn’t re-enter, and Matt Barrows of the Athletic noted that Breida exited the medical tent without a helmet on. That’s not typically a good sign.
Breida has a team-high 35 rushing yards on 11 carries.
