Matrix 4: Keanu Reeves opens up about return as Neo with Carrie-Anne Moss

Keanu Reeves has begun teasing his return as Neo in the fourth Matrix movie.

The actor told ET he’s already read a script for the film, which was announced in August.

Asked if he’s happy with his character’s situation in the new movie, Reeves said: “Yeah, no, absolutely.”

“It’s very ambitious, as it should be,” he added of the upcoming film.

Reeves was attended the premiere of his producer sister Karina Miller’s new film, Semper Fi.

Back in August, it was revealed that Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss would reprise their respective roles as Neo and Trinity in a new Matrix film, 16 years after the original trilogy wrapped up.

The Matrix, the cyberpunk tale of a computer programmer who finds out that humans have been turned into an energy source for machines and are now living inside a simulated reality, came out in March 1999.

It was followed by The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions in May and November 2003 respectively.

All three films were directed by sisters Lana and Lilly Wachowski.

The fourth Matrix film is being directed Lana Wachowski and will reportedly enter production in 2020.
