Matrimonial service centre launched

AHMEDABAD: The Patidar community in Gujarat which is faced with a problem of skewed sex ratio, has embarked on a unique drive to encourage young Kurmi women from other states to marry into their families. On Sunday the Vishwa Umiya Dham led by its president RP Patel inaugurated a matrimonial service centre at Fortune Business Hub near Science City.

According to the Vishwa Umiya Dham media committee convener Dhaval Makadiya, “Under the scheme, a guardian will be appointed in Gujarat for each of the bride’s family. In fact, the trustees will be responsible for bearing all costs of the marriage that realises. This is just the beginning.”
