Matias Godoy has said that he is flattered by Chelsea's interest.
The Blues, who are currently serving a two-transfer window ban, have been heavily linked with a move for the highly-rated Atletico Rafaela youngster and could face competition from AC Milan as well as Inter Milan for his signature.
According to reports in Italy, the west London outfit have made launched a bid in the region of £3m in a bid to steal a march on the Serie A giants.
However, the Milan clubs do have a slight advantage as they are able to sign players in January - something which the Blues are waiting to find out if they'll be able to do.
Last week it was confirmed the club's transfer ban appeal will be heard by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) at the court's headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, on Wednesday, November 20.
And it would appear that Godoy is pushing for a move to Stamford Bridge after confirming their interest when speaking to TYCSports recently.
"The fact that Chelsea is following me is a little moving and I take it in the best way possible but must continue to work," he said.
"I am full of pride. Me and my family have made a very big sacrifice to get here.
"Already being in the National Team is a great pride for me."
Blues head coach Frank Lampard recently opened up on the possibility of dipping into the January transfer market if the appeal to overturn a FIFA-imposed transfer ban is successful.
Upon his return to Stamford Bridge in the summer, the club legend was unable to bring in new players - barring Mateo Kovacic - and it's worked in his favour as Chelsea have gone into the international break sitting third in the Premier League table.
As a result, Lampard has said he's not desperate for new signings.
"I will cross that bridge when I come to it. I am very happy with what I’ve got, but it is something we would always look to at Chelsea," he told talkSPORT.
"Can we improve in areas and only do business if we can improve and it feels it is the right thing for the group. Not just personnel wise, but in the balance and the way we are going. I will look at that one, but at the moment I can’t ask for any more.
"It’s nice that what happens at the appeal is really down the list of my priorities at the minute. The real priority is going game to game and trying to improve all the time."
