Mateusz Klich believes Leeds United are better equipped to carry out Marcelo Bielsa's tactical instructions after a full season under the Leeds United boss.
The Whites have taken four points from their opening two Championship matches but were left frustrated by a late equaliser that limited them to just a point against Nottingham Forest.
The performances, though, have been excellent, with United dominating over 65% in both of their matches, against teams expected to be in the top half of the table come May.
Although Leeds started last season with a flurry, winning five of their opening eight matches in August a year ago as they raced to the top of the table, Klich believes Leeds have a better understanding of Bielsa’s philosophy this season.
After a full pre-season working under Bielsa, the Whites look sharp and determined to go one step better this time around.
Klich, who enjoyed 'the best year of his career', last term, believes that the Whites have an even better understanding of how to carry out Bielsa’s game plans.
“Yeah, you can see that we trying to (implement his style),” he explained to the press, speaking after the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.
“He wants us to play and we all understand better now what we supposed to do on the pitch.
“We just follow our manager and last season was almost successful and I hope this season is going to be good.”
Klich has spoken about his desperation for Leeds to avoid the play-offs this season and claim one of the two automatic promotion places.
The Polish midfielder hit ten goals last season after being brought in from the wilderness by Bielsa and he has been a mainstay in the side ever since.
