Match of the Day running order revealed and when Newcastle fans can re-watch Miguel Almiron goal

The final Saturday of Premier League action before Christmas saw plenty to talk about, with the highlight being the top of the table clash between the Foxes and Man City.

With Liverpool away on Club World Cup duty, all eyes were on the Etihad Stadium as Pep Guardiola’s side secured a 3-1 victory against the Foxes - closing the gap on the Reds.

Elsewhere, Everton and Arsenal played out a goalless draw under the watchful eye of Mikel Arteta and Carlo Ancelotti, who will take the reigns at their respective clubs this week, and Southampton secured a much-needed three points against Aston Villa.

There were also wins for Wolves against Norwich City and Sheffield United against Brighton, with both sides continuing their tremendous performances this season.

Finally, late goals for Burnley and Newcastle United saw them take all three points in their matches against Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.

Highlights of every match will be shown live on BBC One this evening on Match of the Day, which starts at 10:25 and is repeated on Sunday morning, and Gary Lineker has revealed the running order for the show.
