Match of the Day running order and time confirmed by Gary Lineker

Round nine of the 2019/20 Premier League season has begun in style with an array of goals and big talking points all of which can be seen on Match of the Day this evening.

Everton defeated West Ham United earlier today 2-0 at Goodison Park as the pressure on Marco Silva was relieved somewhat.

Aston Villa continued their strong run of form by beating Brighton 2-1 at home, while Bournemouth and Norwich City played out a goalless draw.

Chelsea edged past Newcastle 1-0 at Stamford Bridge as they moved inside the Premier League top four, and dumped the Magpies back into the bottom three.

Another team also inside the top four tonight are Leicester City, who beat Burnley 2-1 at home thanks to a VAR disallowed goal for the visitors.

Tottenham also benefited from a VAR decision in their 1-1 draw with Watford at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Wolves drew 1-1 with Southampton this afternoon, while the tea-time kick-off saw Man City dispatch Crystal Palace in a 2-0 victory in London.

Match of the Day host Gary Lineker has now confirmed the running order for this evening’s show.

Lineker had tweeted earlier in the day that the broadcast could be delayed due to an extended BBC News but there is no delay as things stand.

Match of the Day will begin at 10:30pm on BBC One according to Lineker and here is the running order below.

Match of the Day running order : Aston Villa v Brighton, Crystal Palace v Man City, Everton v West Ham, Leicester v Burnley, Chelsea v Newcastle, Tottenham v Watford, Wolves v Southampton, Bournemouth v Norwich City.
