Match of the Day running order and pundits revealed - when Newcastle United feature

Newcastle United fans wanting to see the highlights of today’s away win at West Ham on Match of the Day won’t have to wait too long.

Gary Lineker revealed the running order for tonight’s show on his Twitter account, and Newcastle are third on the bill after title chasing Liverpool and Manchester City’s dramatic victories.

“It goes there because Alan Shearer says it goes there!” he joked on Match of the Day’s periscope feed. Shearer is joined by Ian Wright on tonight’s MOTD for a goal-filled show.

It’ll be led by Liverpool’s late win over Aston Villa, which saw them preserve their lead at the top of the Premier League. Manchester City also earned a comeback win against Southampton and they’re both leading the show before United’s 3-2 win at the London Stadium .

Chelsea’s win at Watford and Sheffield United’s 3-0 defeat of Burnley are next up, following by wins for Brighton and Bournemouth.

Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Wolves is the final game of the show, which starts at 10.30pm on BBC One tonight.

The Match of the Day running order:

Aston Villa 1-2 Liverpool

Man City 2-1 Southampton

West Ham 2-3 Newcastle

Watford 1-2 Chelsea

Sheffield United 3-0 Burnley

Brighton 2-0 Norwich

Bournemouth 1-0 Manchester United

Arsenal 1-1 Wolves
