Mata and Tuanzebe to start - Manchester United predicted line up vs Istanbul Basaksehir

Manchester United could make plenty of changes as they face Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be looking to freshen up his side from the weekend defeat to Arsenal as he looks for the perfect balance ahead of a tricky away tie.

United have a flawless record in Europe this season and know an away win in Turkey would put them in a comfortable position ahead of the return encounter after the international break.

Young goalkeeper Dean Henderson expects to make his Champions League debut in the match with David de Gea likely to be rested ahead of the trip to Everton at the weekend.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to keep his place at right-back while Luke Shaw is also a likely starter with Alex Telles missing the trip as he awaits the all-clear from his latest coronavirus test results.

Harry Maguire will captain the side in Istanbul but could see a change at centre-back with Axel Tuanzebe due a start following his impressive comeback display against Paris Saint-Germain two weeks ago.

United could also make changes in midfield with Nemanja Matic deserving a start over Fred and Scott McTominay while Bruno Fernandes remains crucial to the attacking threat.

Donny van de Beek should start the game instead of Paul Pogba with the French midfielder playing best as an impact substitute in recent weeks.

Anthony Martial is sure to start up front having missed out against Arsenal through suspension with Juan Mata the most natural choice on the right wing. Marcus Rashford should start on the left although Daniel James has been decent playing there in the recent performances as of late.

United predicted line up vs Istanbul Basaksehir: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Tuanzebe, Maguire, Shaw; Matic, Fernandes, Van de Beek; Mata, Rashford, Martial.
